Description
The Savage Arms Impulse Mountain Hunter is a straight-pull bolt-action rifle in .30-06 Springfield with a 22-inch threaded Proof Research carbon fiber barrel. It has a black aluminum receiver with a Picatinny rail, a Black Cerakote finish, a gray AccuStock with AccuFit, and a two-position tang safety. It holds 4+1 rounds in one 4-round detachable box magazine and has a 20 MOA rail, a 5/8x24 thread pattern, and a 1-in-10 twist. The maker says the Proof Research carbon fiber wrapped stainless steel barrel lets the Impulse reach lighter weights for higher altitude hunts, and the straight pull action gives quick follow-up shots. The rifle is drilled and tapped, 44.75 inches long, and 7.14 lbs.
