The Faxon X-TRA Lite AR15 Receiver Set in Midnight Bronze Cerakote® is the foundation for lightweight builds that still demand hard-use durability, precise fitment, and premium aesthetics. Built from 7075-T6 forged aluminum and trued in-house by Faxon Firearms in Greater Cincinnati, Ohio, this set takes our proven forged receiver geometry and removes unnecessary mass while tightening tolerances where it matters most.

At just 0.96 lbs (15.36 oz) combined with the ejection port and dust cover installed, the X-TRA Lite Receiver Set is 2.08 ounces lighter than our standard forged receiver set. Purposeful skeletonization, Faxon’s heritage “X” milling, and an engineered feature set deliver weight savings without giving up the structural integrity you expect from a precision American manufacturer.

The upper receiver features a honed inner bore for smooth bolt carrier operation, a skeletonized Picatinny rail with manually engraved T-marks, and a deleted forward assist for reduced weight and simplified function. The lower receiver includes a Faxon “X” skeletonized magwell to trim additional ounces while maintaining reliable magazine insertion and consistent ergonomics. The Midnight Bronze Cerakote® finish provides a durable, corrosion-resistant coating with a refined, build-ready look.
